What should I do with
Cathode Ray Tubes?

Cathode Ray Tubes or CRTs are the glass screens of televisions, computers and other similar devices.  The glass contains substantial quanities of lead so it must be managed properly to keep the lead out of our environment.  In New Hampshire, it is illegal to dispose of CRTs.  They can be recycled or returned to the manufacturer for reuse or recycling.

Many municipalities accept CRTs at their transfer stations.  There may be a fee.  As of December 2012, Best Buy is taking CRTs for free or a fee.  Check out their web site.  They are also taking several other electronic items.  See here for NH DES best management practices for electronics.
